Professor Feng Qian received the "Outstanding Researcher Award" at the International Conference on Infrastructure Monitoring and Protection.

   Recently, the International Conference on Infrastructural Monitoring and Protection (CIMP1-2025) 2025 successfully concluded in Perth, the capital city of Western Australia. Professor Feng Qian from our college was awarded the Outstanding Researcher Award for his academic innovation and industrial influence in the fields of intelligent sensing and structural safety monitoring.

   At the award ceremony, Professor Hong Hao (right), Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering and Foreign Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Professor Satoshi Yamada (left), a world-renowned earthquake engineering expert from the University of Tokyo, Japan, jointly presented the certificate of honor and trophy to Professor Feng Qian (middle).

   Professor Feng Qian, a long-time expert in engineering safety and disaster prevention, has made a series of groundbreaking advances in key technologies such as monitoring and early warning for major infrastructure. His research not only provides core theoretical support and technical guarantees for enhancing the safety resilience of major infrastructure but has also been successfully applied to several major engineering projects, yielding broad social impact. 

   During the conference, Professor Feng delivered an English academic report titled Advances in Multi-Parameter Integrated Fiber-Optic Sensing Technology and Its Prospects for Engineering Applications, in which he shared his team’s breakthrough research progress and engineering application cases in multi-core fiber optic sensing. The presentation attracted significant attention and sparked lively discussion among the attending experts.
